Earth Week!

God+spoke.png

April 22 is Earth Day, a day for celebrating the Earth and its living things. We remember that the earth and everything in it is created by God and is good. Today and throughout this week, we will explore ways that we can help take care of this gift.

Bible Verse: Genesis 1:28 (MSG)

God spoke:

Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature, so they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, and yes, Earth itself!

Activities:

Nature Mandalas - Create a beautiful piece of art out of natural materials. Leave it for someone else to see, or take a picture to remember it!

Downtown Story Walk - Head downtown Iowa City with a grownup to take a walk and read the book We Are Water Protectors! The walk is about 1 mile and will take roughly 20 minutes. As you follow the map, the path will lead you to the next pages of the book, which you can stop and read together.
