Jesus and the Children
/Series: Jesus Said Wonderful Things
Welcome, friends!
This is the third Sunday of Lent. Lent is the 40 days before Easter when many people do things to feel closer to God. This might mean making room for God in their day–spending time with God in prayer or another activity. Sometimes when a person chooses to be close to God or spend time thinking about God, it might mean that they spend less time doing something else. This could mean giving up something, or doing less of something. This can look different for everyone.
Our stories during Lent are highlighting some of the wonderful things that Jesus said and the amazing things that Jesus did. Jesus wanted us to know God and to know how much God loves and wants to be close to every person - even the people who don’t seem important or that society says are unloveable.
In today’s scripture, we’ll read the story of Jesus spending time with and blessing the children instead of turning them away.

Spending Time With God During Lent: Psalms
Here are 6 different ways that you can use the book of the Bible called the Psalms to help you spend time with God. Would you like to pick just one to do each day? Would you like to try them all today? You can decide.
If you have a printer, you can ask a grownup to help you print them. You can also use plain paper.
Musical Worship
Sometimes listening to music and singing along can lift our spirits and help us feel God’s closeness. Here is a playlist of some songs that we like. Feel free to listen to them and imagine lots of other people joining you in musical worship at the same time. Enjoy!
Goodbye, friends! Have a great week!
